what: Humboldt County Pandraggers second annual Draggin' North Kustom and Hot Rod Show. Hot rod drag racing on the Samoa Drag Strip (Draggin' North is the only car show in Northern California which allows participants to race their cars.)
Spectators enter free; to register a car in the show costs only $25
Other long-established car clubs such as the East Bay Sinners, the Dragoons and many others are attending from as far as San Diego, Seattle and Ohio
Only pre-1965 cars are accepted with the exception of highly modified post-'65s
Live music by hit rockabilly group The Cheatin' Hearts
Pin-Up contest judged by award-winning pin-up model Sugar de Ville
Burnout Contest
Pinstriping Contest judged by Pandraggers Club President Cadi Conley
Variety of individually constructed awards ranging from the Date Bait Award (a car most likely to get you a lady) to the Princess Award (the cleanest, fanciest, most pampered car) and several others in between
First established in Fresno in 1947, the Pandraggers are a traditional car club still maintaining the lost art of custom hot rod building and painting. Their cars and members have been feature in Ol' Skool Rodz magazine, DeLux magazine and Lowrider magazine.
