Halloween Boogie

Halloween festivities start early this year with the 2012 Halloween Boogie this Saturday October 27th at the Mateel Community Center in Redway. Hosted by KMUD Radio and the Mateel, this year’s Boogie, will feature Diego’s Umbrella, Monkey and Candelaria, three popular Bay Area bands who were also favorites at the 2012 Summer Arts and Music Festival. The boogie is costume optional but most folks take this opportunity to come incognito, alter-egoed, or otherwise embellished, from the ridiculous to the sublime. Much ado is made of the costume contest with prizes going to audience favorites. Doors open at 7pm. Beer, wine and snacks will be available. Tickets will be available for $23 in advance, and $25 at the door at all the usual outlets and online at Mateel.org.

The 8th Annual Humboldt Hills Hoedown is Saturday, September 22nd at The Mateel in Redway CA. Down-home celebration of bluegrass and country music. There will be heap of fun for the whole family.
